Inclement & Extreme Heat Weather Policy
All clients will be asked to provide an emergency contact name and number of a local person that has a key. We make every effort to keep the regularly scheduled visit during inclement weather and will be in contact with all clients that have scheduled visits. All clients will be notified immediately if we are unable to keep the scheduled visit.
**In order to prevent heat exhaustion, heat stroke, sunburn, burnt paw pads and further stress to your pup, when the temps are above 85 degrees, we will provide a short potty break and then fun indoor playtime! Each visit is personalized to your dog's needs, health and breed!
**Temps that are below 50 degrees: we will provide a short potty break and fun indoor playtime!
NO CELL PHONES!
I have a no cell phone policy...which means unless there is an emergency call I WILL NOT use my cell phone for calls, texts or emails while I am conducting visits. I consider it a safety hazard while on walks and simply not fair to my clients! The time I spend with your pet during visits is dedicated to your pet.
$10.00 surcharge per day, not visit, for the following holidays:
Easter, July 4, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after, as well as Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

About Your Keys
During your initial FREE Consult we ask that you provide us with two keys to your home and any security codes you may use. One key will be kept in a safe in Joanne's home and both are tagged with a random key chain that does not ID your home in anyway.
This allows us to be able to be on call for last minute emergency visits and allows us to return for visits again without having to go through the hassle of exchanging keys.
If you only want us to use a code to enter/exit your home we are not responsible for failure to care for your pets due to a power outage or any other unforsseen circumstances.
There is a $10.00 charge if we are required to return for a key and a $5.00 fee if we are required to make a copy of a key.
If you abandon your pet in our care, we have the right to report your actions to the appropriate authority, give your pet up for adoption, etc. The owner will be held liable for reimbursing all expenses incurred during this period.
Invoices are sent through text and/or email. Payments accepted: Cash/Checks. We will run the Debit/Credit Card on file. Checks are accepted on a limited basis.
Payments are expected on the first day of, or before, the start of service. An additional FEE of $10.00 per day will be charged if payment is not made on, or before, the first day of service.
Military: We are Happy to Invoice you on the 1st and 15th.
***Your debit/cc information must be on file and will be kept in a secure place and only charged as authorized. Credit cards are typically charged up to 3 days before the start of service for vacation clients.
**There is a $35.00 returned fee for returned checks.**
***Happy At Home Professional Pet Care does not give refunds. Instead visits will be credited and must be used within 1 month from the time of service.
Your first consult with your main sitters/walkers is FREE! However, if you want to meet additional sitters/walkers there is a $15.00 fee
As a FREE courtesy to you we will water indoor and outdoor plants while you are on vacation. However, our primary focus is providing exceptional care to your pets! We are NOT responsible for plants that die while in our care.
We are happy to supply poo bags for dog walks and to clean out litter boxes. All pet waste will be disposed of in the client's outdoor trash bins. Any in home accidents will be cleaned to the best of our abilities.
We will ask where your cleaning supplies are kept and will only use them as needed.
